P50,000 up for grabs in BTA Sinulog Open

A WHOPPING P50,000 awaits the masters event champion of the upcoming 14th Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA) Sinulog Open slated Jan. 24 to 27 at the Gaisano Bowlingplex.

BTA President Bede Llano said some of the country’s best keglers will compete in thsi tournament including present and former Philippine Bowling Team members.

Among the top names include Biboy Rivera, Rj Bautista, Lisa Clotario, Lisa Posadas and Eric Aranas.

Aside from the masters event, the tournament will also have a three-man team event, singles event and team all-event category, all offering cash prizes to winners. The champion team will get P9,000, the singles champion will receive P5,000, while the all-event team champion will receive P3,000.

Cebu’s Jomar Jumapao, Clarence Tiu, PRIMA Bowling and Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) will also join the tournament.

Registration fee for each team is pegged at P7,500. The tournament is sponsored by DMP Lubricants and Oils and Zumrphil. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
