2 young siblings in Talisay missing

A mother from Talisay City is seeking help from the police and the public for  information on the whereabouts of her two girls whom she reported missing since Monday.

Geaneth Abastillas, 35, of sitio Pungsod, barangay Lawaan 3, Talisay City, informed the police last Monday evening that her children, Keith Katherine Abastillas, 7, and Kim Margarit, 6, didn’t attend school and hadn’t returned home since Monday morning when they left for school.

The Abastillas home is just a few meters from the Lawaan 3 Elementary School and her children left home at 6 a.m.

Abastillas said she was alarmed when her children  Kim, a Grade 2 student, and Keith, a Grade 3 student, didn’t return home for lunch.

When she checked on the school for the whereabouts of her children, she learned that they didn’t attend school.

She waited for her children to come. But at past 10 p.m. when they still didn’t come home, she informed the police of her missing children.

PO2 Violeta Godinez of the Children and Women’s Desk said they were conducting a search for the missing children.
