/ 06:46 AM October 19, 2012

A GUN ban will be implemented on Nov. 30 in Cebu. Region 7 Police Chief Marcelo Garbo said this was a security measure during the celebration of the Thanksgiving Mass of Saint Pedro Calungsod at the South Road Properties.

Garbo also said that they were putting in place security measures to maintain peace and order in the province during the canonization of Beato Pedro Calungsod this Sunday. Garbo said they were focusing their security in Ginatilan town, southwestern Cebu, where a big population would hold activities related to the canonization would be held.

The gun ban will include police officers, who won’t be allowed to carry firearms when they’re off duty./Correspondent Gabriel C. Bonjoc
