SUMMIT Hotels of the Gokongwei-owned Robinson Land Corporation (RLC) is positioning itself to cater to the growing market for MICE or meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions in Tagayta and Cebu.

The Summit Ridge Hotel Tagaytay has been getting a lot of bookings from this market from small group meetings of 10 to a convention of 500 people.

“We get conventions from government agencies and private corporations doing strategic planning or summits and conferences here. We’d like to duplicate this success in our other properties under the brand like Summit Circle Hotel Cebu,” said Roseann C. Villaegas, RLC public relations director in a press briefing in Tagaytay last Saturday.

“We are very confident of our positioning especially that our Summit Hotels are located in key tourism destinations in the country. Tagaytay is often visited by tourists. And most companies prefer holding their meetings in places where they can have both – business and leisure. Cebu is a well known destination for that as well,” said Villegas.

ncluding Robinsons Galleria Cebu, the group have five ongoing projects in Cebu including Azalea Place Cebu, Amisa Mactan Cebu Resort Condominium, Blue Coast Residences and Aspen Heights Cebu.
