Tool to monitor energy efficiency out in market

/ 06:36 AM October 19, 2012

Schneider Electric (SE) has introduced a tool to help companies achieve energy efficiency and monitor operations.

The new software platform solution called StruxureWare “ is built on what we have offered in the past. It is an evolved software solution that can help companies indentify where they can put in their energy efficiency measures. They can select which applications and suites to include for the service,” said Ian dela Rosa, country sales manager of Schneider Electric in a press briefing last week.

The software gives business managers a bird’s eye view of what’s happening inside their enterprises according to specific floors and departments, and helps managers make more informed decisions.

With more public awareness of energy conservation, SE will intensify its focus in Manila as well as Cebu and Davao, as the two fastest growing economies in the country.

They also offer StruxureWare for Data Center.

“The increased popularity of cloud computing, virtualization and other new terminologies have made our data centers more complicated and less stable. The StruxtureWare for Data Center will help make it more manageable,” said Reveilhac.

For this service, they are looking at outsourcing companies and other firms that invest heavily in data centers.

Southeast Asian is their second largest and fastest growing market for SE and services next to Europe. Reveilhac said this makes the Philippines one of the top priority markets in the region. /Reporter Aileen Garcia-Yap
