2nd MEPZ-HRA football on

EIGHT teams will be vying for the men’s Open title of the 2nd MEPZ-HRA Football Festival which concludes today at the Aboitiz Sports Field at the North Reclamation Area in Cebu City.

After the first round of elimination, the 15 participating teams were reduced to eight with FC Timex-ea and Makoto Metals topping their respective brackets.

Defending champion Lear FC still has a chance to retain its title for the second straight year after finishing third in bracket A. Trailing FC Timex-ea in bracket A were HPOI FC in second and Taiyo Yuden FC in fourth place.

In bracket B, in second spot was FC Timex 1, Opiniology at third and NKC at fourth.  /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
