Complete domination for UC paddlers
THE UNIVERSITY of Cebu (UC) table tennis teams dominated their opponents in the two-day table tennis competition of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. over the weekend at the UC Table Tennis Center.
“I am very overwhelmed with our team’s win because for the past years, we were really struggling in defending our title. But now, I can’t believe they did not clinch a single win against our teams,” said UC table tennis head coach Jessica Honoridez.
UC’s men’s team composed of Danel Jay Tormis, Lemuel Agbon and Val Stephen Jaca routed University of the Visayas in the final round, 3-0, while its women’s team composed of Jerny Kaye Pepito, Elonna Dane Tormis and Jennifer Jacalan routed University of San Carlos,3-0.
UC’s high school squad also showed its prowess as its boys squad won over the Don Bosco Technical Center (DBTC), 3-0, while its girls squad silenced the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), 3-0./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
