Seno bags boys 14-U title in Babolat Jr net
JAN Godfrey Seno dominated the boys 14-under division of the Babolat Junior Tennis Circuit 2012 in General Santos over the weekend.
The 12-year-old student of the University of San Carlos (USC) dismissed the top-seed Christian Fel Lopez, 6-2, 7-5, to clinch the title.
Seno, who was seeded sixth, proved too hot to handle as he surprised Lopez to take the first set at 6-2.
Lopez rallied on the second set and immediately took the upperhand at 2-1. Seno refused to be intimidated and leveled the set at 2-all.
However, double faults wreaked Seno’s game and gave Lopez a sizeable 5-2 lead.
Not wanting a third set, Seno recovered and rallied to close the set at 7-5 and brought home the title.
