Cries from Malabon lot: ‘Huwag! Maawa kayo!’

“Don’t do it! Have mercy!” These were the last words heard from a still unidentified man who was shot dead in a dark vacant lot near Lambingan Bridge, Gov. Pascual Avenue, Barangay Catmon, Malabon City, Tuesday night.

The victim, found hours later, was described as 5’2” in height, fair-skinned, sporting close-cropped hair, and wearing a red T-shirt and denim shorts.

Police reports said that at around 10 p.m. a resident heard someone from the lot pleading “Huwag po! Maawa kayo!” before a gunshot rang out, followed after a brief pause by three more.  Nathaniel R. Melican
