PH’s top rider San Andres to vie in NKeiz BJ-Phoenix Nat’l Open

RENOWNED motocross rider and organizer Siegfred Ornopia said  Asia’s no. 3 rider and the country’s no. 1 Kenneth San Andres will compete in the eighth leg of the Keiz BJ-Phoenix Cyclomax Titan Motocross National Open this Sunday at a newly upgraded race track in Pagsabungan, Mandaue City.

Ornopia teamed up with Phoenix Petroleums Cyclomax and other private companies to make the major racing event possible.

According to Ornopia  other top riders joining are Kimboy Villena, Cebuano Jon Eleazar Adlawan, 48-year old motocross legend Jolet Hao and Jerick Metra.

Ornopia led the official launching yesterday at the Lola Saling’s Restaurant along with Phoenix Cyclomax’s Jeoffrey Villalon. “It’s getting more exciting in every leg, especially since we made the race track bigger to fit more riders,” said Ornopia.

The improved race track now measures a total of one kilometer with 21 jumps.

Aside from the expert division, other categories are the intermediate, novice, regular executive special selection, class B, local residents (Pagsabungan), mini class 85 and 65, beginners special selection, beginners open production, habal-habal-40-above class and local enduro. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G.
