Drug suspect busted, yields 2 guns in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Police anti-narcotics operatives in Lucena City arrested an armed drug suspect in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, March 11.
Lt. Col. Ryan Hernandez, chief of the Lucena City police, reported on Thursday that police drug enforcers apprehended alias “Danny,” 59, after he sold P500 worth of meth to a poseur buyer in Barangay 8 at 4:38 p.m.
The suspect yielded four plastic sachets containing suspected meth with a total street value of P40,800.
Police also found Danny carrying two illegal .38-caliber revolvers and nine bullets inside a sling bag. The confiscated firearms will undergo ballistic and cross-matching examinations to determine if they were used in past crimes.

The suspect is on the police watch list as a street pusher in the locality.
He was detained and is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and for illegal possession of a firearm. /mcm
