Laborer shot dead at home

A 24-YEAR-OLD construction worker was shot dead at home in barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City, on Tuesday night.

Melvin Caballero succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

Police said Caballero was sitting on a bamboo bench in his house when three armed men barged in and peppered the victim with bullets. Another companion stayed outside the house and served as a lookout.

The assailants fled after the attack.

A background check on the victim will be conducted to determine the motive behind the attack, said police./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
