Barako import powers team to 2nd straight win
Leroy Hickerson had another productive outing, resulting to yet another win for the Barako Bull Energy, who trounced the Air21 Express, 109-100, last night in the 37th PBA Governors’ Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
It was the second straight win for the Energy since they acquired Hickerson, who tallied another 30-point game.
Hickerson, who once played for the Express, scored 32 points in Barako Bull’s impressive, 111-107 win over the Petron Blaze Boosters last Friday.
Last night, Hickerson was hot again, exploding for a team-high 38 points as the Energy posted their third win in five games.
The win allowed the Energy to stay in the top six. Tournament format states that only the top six teams will advance to the semifinal round while the bottom four will be eliminated.
