Cops eye multiple gunmen in slaying of Bulacan board member
CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan, Philippines — Police officers in this province are pursuing multiple gunmen in the killing of Board Member Ramilito Capistrano, based on security camera footage showing two vehicles involved: a white Toyota Vios with plate number ZBD-5332 and a black Mitsubishi Adventure with plate number ZEE-440.
Capistrano, 56, and his driver, Shedrick Suarez, 27, were ambushed on Oct. 4 around 6:30 p.m. in Barangay Ligas while heading home to San Rafael.
Their black Mitsubishi Montero was riddled with bullets, with over 20 hitting the front passenger seat where Capistrano was seated, according to Maj. Norheda Usman, information officer of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office and spokesperson for the Special Task Force Group “Capistrano.”

Initially, police suspected a lone gunman, but new footage suggests multiple attackers.
Article continues after this advertisementAn empty 9mm magazine was found at the scene, and the suspects’ vehicles were last seen heading toward Maharlika Highway.
Capistrano, the barangay captain of Caingin and president of the Bulacan Association of Barangay Captains, had just left the provincial capitol after attending a session when they were ambushed.
