Camarines Norte suspends government, private work due to ‘Enteng’

GUINOBATAN, Albay — The continuous, heavy rainfall brought by Tropical Storm Enteng (international name: Yagi) in Camarines Norte has prompted the suspension of work in public and private offices.

Gov. Ricarte “Dong” Padilla, in an advisory posted online, said the heavy rainfall may cause flooding, landslides, river swelling, and road blockage in the province.

Government offices involved in emergency response, he said, would remain operational.

As of 5 a.m. on Monday, towns in the northeastern part of the province—Vinzons, San Lorenzo Ruiz, Talisay, Daet, Labo, Paracale, Jose Panganiban, San Vicente, Basud, and Mercedes—were placed under tropical cyclone wind signal no. 2.
