MWC’s P450-M Antipolo Transmission Line to benefit over 1M Rizaleños

MANILA, Philippines — To meet the increasing water demand in the province of Rizal, Manila Water Company (MWC) is carrying out the construction of the P450-million Antipolo Transmission Line, which will be a vital component in delivering water services to the province.
Spanning over nine kilometers, the Antipolo Transmission Line will stretch from the town of Teresa in Rizal, traversing along Roman-Rojas Road, going to NHA Access Road up to Sitio Boso-Boso. Construction works for this project include pipelaying, asphalt pavement restoration, and pipe bridge construction.
This service improvement project is comprised of two major components: Package 1 and Package 2.
Package 1, which involves the laying of 1600mm-diameter steel pipe along Roman-Rojas and NHA Road, is underway and slated for completion by 2025.
On the other hand, Package 2, which also involves the installation of 1600mm-diameter steel pipe along the New Access Road to Boso-Boso Reservoir, is on track for completion by the fourth quarter of 2024.
Once operational, the Antipolo Transmission Line will provide additional water service to more than one million customers in Antipolo City, Teresa, Baras, Taytay, and Angono.
“The Antipolo Transmission Line aims to further improve water services to over 1 million residents in Rizal, therefore contributing to better health and quality of life of residents within our concession area,” Manila Water Corporate Communications Affairs Group Director Jeric Sevilla said.
As with all Manila Water projects, the Antipolo Transmission Line project meets the regulatory standards for safety and quality that will ensure long-term reliability and efficient distribution of clean and potable water.
