Girl dies, 3 hurt after falling into school’s septic tank in Cavite

LUCENA CITY — A 12-year-old student died, and her three other classmates were injured Monday after they accidentally fell into the septic tank of their school in Alfonso town in Cavite province, police said.
In a report on Tuesday, May 21, the Region 4A police said “Criszel” and three other Grade 5 students of Sinaliw Malaki Elementary School in Barangay Sinaliw Malaki were all seated on a concrete chair inside the school while eating lunch at 12:40 p.m.
Suddenly, the ground under them collapsed, and they all fell into the school’s septic tank below.
They were taken to a local hospital, but Criszel died on the way there. The report did not state the cause of the victim’s death.
The police were conducting further investigation.
