Kyocera logs first victory
THE KYOCERA Frontiers had to go through an extra session before salvaging their first-ever win in the season, escaping the Executive Boutique Tarantulas, 47-44, last Sunday in the 2011 Powerade E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
It was just Kyocera’s first win in five games, while the Tarantulas remained winless after six starts to further drop to the bottom of the standings.
Rowelito Naveo was a workhorse in Kyocera’s much-needed win, scoring 17 points while grabbing 17 rebounds. Eliot Emerson Uy backed Naveo with 16 points.
In the other game, the defending champions Teletech Titans rebounded from a previous loss by downing the Eperformax Reds, 52-45.
