Former SWU working students meet for homecoming

MORE than 100 members of the Working Students – Loyal and United Non-Academic Scholars Alumni of Southwestern University (SWU) from batch 1960 to the present conducted their grand alumni homecoming at the SWU Main campus on Urgello Street, Cebu City recently.

The event started with a thanksgiving Mass officiated by group alumnus Fr. Carlos Duga from the Mary Little Children’s Community in barangay Tabunok, Talisay City, Cebu and Fr. Nonoy Pe from San Vicente Ferrer Parish in Urgello.

A dinner and program followed featuring a dance number by the SWU dance troupe, induction of SWU WS – LUNAS officers by lawyer Climaco Camiso Jr., president of SWU Alumni Foundation Inc. and an audio-visual presentation tribute to the Aznar family, school officials, advisers and fellow alumni.

The event had the theme “A walk down memory lane and sharing experiences together.”

Dr. Alexander Mancao, faculty member and president of the Graduate School Faculty Alumni Association Inc. delivered the closing remarks.
