Farmer shot in Dalaguete drinking bout

A 21-YEAR-OLD farmer was shot and wounded by friend after they argued in a drinking session in barangay Mantalungon, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu.

Norberto Carin was recuperating in Cebu City hospital with gunshot wound in the abdomen.

The suspect Valeriano Billa, 40, fled after the shooting.

Police said Carin and Billa were drinking outside a store when they suddenly argued at 7:30 p.m. last Tuesday.

Police said Carin and Billa got drunk and a heated argument ensued.

It was not clear what the argument was all about.

While arguing, Billa drew an improvised shotgun locally known as pukaghang and shot Carin.
