MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility is not expected to develop into a cyclone, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Tuesday.

Pagasa said the LPA is currently 145 kilometers southeast of General Santos City, South Cotabato.

According to Pagasa, the trough or extension of the LPA is forecast to affect Visayas, Caraga, Davao region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan, triggering cloudy skies and thunderstorms.
