New Marcos appointees at SBMA, GAB, NBI, OCD

MARCOS VOWS TO EXPAND INTERNET SERVICES TO REMOTE AREAS

Malacañang on Thursday announced the latest appointees of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to various government agencies.

Richard Santos Clarin is the next chair of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB), while Dr. Allan Troy Dandan Baquir will sit on the board of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) as the representative of the national government, according to Malacañang press briefer Daphne Oseña-Paez.

Also joining the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) board are Edelberto Salgo Mozo and Tomas Fausto Lahom III for the business and investment sectors, Oseña-Paez told Palace reporters.The President likewise designated Honorario Cabaguio Allado III, Jose Mari Balandra Ponce, Kenneth Lemuel Rementilla, Amable Tolentino and Maria Cecilia Bobadilla Bitare as acting board members representing the private sector.

OCD, NBI execs

Mr. Marcos also named Ariel Nepomuceno as the new administrator of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).The National Bureau of Investigation, meanwhile, will have two new assistant directors: Angelito Magno and Glenn Ricarte.

A member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1987, Nepomuceno previously served as deputy commissioner of the Bureau of Customs from November 2017 to February 2018. His earlier stint at the OCD was as an executive officer, from 2010 to 2011.

Prior to this latest appointment, Magno has been the NBI regional director for Calabarzon since August this year. He was earlier the regional director for Northern Mindanao and for the Ilocos region.

Nepomuceno, Magno and Ricarte took their oath before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin at Malacañang on Tuesday. INQ
