Cloudy, rainy weekend in east portion of Luzon due to amihan — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Luzon, particularly in the eastern portion, would still experience cloudy skies and rain showers over the weekend due to the northeast monsoon or amihan, the state weather bureau said on Friday afternoon.
In its weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the areas most affected by the amihan would be Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Northern Quezon province.
Meanwhile, fairer weather is expected over the provinces in the Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region, Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon, except for isolated thunderstorms.
Pagasa said no weather disturbance is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next two to three days.
For Saturday, lower temperatures are expected over Tuguegarao due to the northeast monsoon, ranging from 24 to 28 degrees Celsius, while Laoag and Legazpi would have something between 24 to 32 degrees Celsius. Baguio would have 16 to 23 degrees, Metro Manila with 24 to 31 degrees, Tagaytay with 22 to 30 degrees, and Puerto Princesa with 25 to 32 degrees.
