Pagasa says no tropical cyclones to affect PH in next three days

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday that no tropical cyclone will form or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) until the end of this week.
“In the next three days ay wala pa rin tayong inaasahang bagyo na maaaring mabuo o pumasok ng ating (we don’t expect any tropical cyclones that may form or enter our) area of responsibility,” said Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario in the bureau’s late afternoon weather bulletin broadcast.
Earlier, the state weather service said the country might see one to two tropical cyclones within the PAR this December.
Tropical Depression Rosal (international name: Pakhar) entered the PAR last week, but it had no direct effect on the country.
Friday weather
As for the anticipated weather condition in various parts of the country on Friday, Pagasa said portions of Luzon would experience cloudy skies with light rain due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan.
In particular, the state weather bureau said the northeast monsoon would bring overcast skies with rain over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora. and Quezon. Meanwhile, Ilocos Region will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rain due to the northeast monsoon or the cold winds blowing from Siberia.
On the other hand, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have generally fair weather conditions despite partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
Pagasa did not raise any gale warning over any seaboard nationwide.
