Parañaque gov’t starts releasing 13th month pay of employees

Parañaque City government employees start getting their 13th month pay

MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Parañaque City on Wednesday announced that it has begun releasing the 13th-month bonuses of its employees.

“We are happy to announce that we have started crediting the 13th-month pay of our regular and casual employees to their bank accounts,” Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said in a statement.

“This should help assure them and their families of a happy Christmas season,” he added.

The said bonus is equivalent to one month’s full salary and is part of the financial windfall that employees of the local government will receive during the Christmas season.

Aside from the 13th-month pay, all local government personnel — including job order employees — would also get a P5,000 cash gift starting the first week of December.

Regular and casual employees were likewise entitled to a productivity bonus of P5,000 each by the third week of December.
