33 wanted persons arrested in Calabarzon
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested 33 wanted individuals in simultaneous operations in the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region, the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A reported on Saturday.
Police Brigadier General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., PRO-4A chief, said that nine were listed as “most wanted persons” in the region and 24 were classified as “other wanted persons” in the province, city and municipalities.
Most of the crimes that were allegedly committed by the arrested suspects were homicide, rape, murder and violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Nartatez lauded the police units behind the successful arrests and said it manifests their intensified campaign against wanted lawbreakers.
“Let us continue to double our efforts while we seek the cooperation of the community in capturing these fugitives who are evading our laws and hold them accountable for the crimes they committed,” he said.
