5 nabbed for illegal guns, drugs in Bicol
LEGAZPI CITY — Five persons were arrested Tuesday for illegal drugs and firearms in buy-bust operations in the Bicol region.
Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said in a report Wednesday, Oct. 19, that Roberto Luceña III, 27, was arrested at 5:25 p.m. after selling shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover agent in Barangay Sta. Elena in Nabua town in Camarines Sur.
Authorities recovered three more sachets of shabu from the suspect, who was identified as a street-level peddler.
Calubaquib said P3,400 worth of shabu were confiscated from Luceña.
In Guinobatan town in Albay, Sabas Pabelonia , 44, was also arrested around 4:45 p.m. in Barangay Inamnan.

Article continues after this advertisementIn Paracale town in Camarines Norte, Jevanni Bayani, 41, and Aldrin Villanueva, 22, both gold panners, were also arrested at around 12:55 p.m. in an operation in Barangay Batobalani.
Calubaquib said the suspects sold a caliber .45 pistol with seven live ammunition to undercover police.
In this city in Albay, a caliber .357 TM Smith and Wesson Magnum revolver was also confiscated at 9:15 p.m. from Aldrin Malate, 32, in Barangay San Roque.
The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
