Over P600,000 shabu seized in Bicol buy-busts

LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities seized more than P600,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in buy-bust operations Wednesday in the Bicol region, reports said Thursday, Oct. 13.
In Camarines Norte, police arrested Ian Deleon, 42, in Barangay Mancruz in Daet town at 1:40 a.m.
Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of Bicol police, said authorities recovered seven medium sachets or 85 grams of shabu worth P578,000.
In Libmanan town in Camarines Sur, Edgardo Lasala, 34, and Wendel Ditan, 30, were also arrested in a separate buy-bust operation in Barangay Pag-Oring Nuevo at around noon
Colonel Julius Caesar Domingo, Camarines Sur police chief, reported that the suspects sold a sachet of shabu worth about P18,000.
Article continues after this advertisementDuring the body search, authorities also confiscated three sachets of shabu from Ditan and three more grams from Lasala worth P13,000.
