Karding weakens to a typhoon as it makes second landfall

MANILA, Philippines – Super Typhoon Karding weakened into a typhoon as it made a second landfall in the vicinity of Dingalan, Aurora on Sunday, said state meteorologists.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has also issued Red Rainfall warnings and updated Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) in its Sunday night advisory.

Red rainfall warnings have been issued over portions of Quezon, Bulacan and Rizal. The aforementioned areas are at risk for serious flooding.
