2 earthquakes hit Quezon province
MANILA, Philippines — Two magnitude 4.4 earthquakes rattled Quezon province Wednesday night, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs detected the first quake at 10:24 p.m., wits its epicenter traced 15 kilometers east of Real, Quezon. The tectonic earthquake’s depth of focus was one kilometer.
State seismologists reported the following intensities:
Intensity III- Real, Lucban, General Nakar and Infanta, Quezon; Quezon City;
Intensity II – Polillo, Quezon; Tagaytay City, Cavite; Talisay, Batangas;
Instrumental Intensities:

Phivolcs said the second tectonic earthquake was detected at 10:28 p.m.. Its epicenter was traced eight kilometers east of Real, Quezon and had a depth of focus of three kilometers.
The second earthquake had the following intensities:
Intensity IV – Real, Quezon
Intensity III – Lucban and Infanta, Quezon; City of Manila
Intensity II – General Nakar, Quezon
Intensity I – Quezon City
Instrumental Intensities:
Intensity III – Polillo and Infanta, Quezon
Intensity II – Dolores, Quezon
Intensity I – Tagaytay City, Cavite; Los Baños, Laguna; Angono, Morong, Cainta and Tanay, Rizal
No damage or aftershocks are expected, said state seismologists.
