Grade schooler donates school supplies to teacher’s class
MANILA, Philippines – Malabon-based public school teacher Joan Pascual touched the hearts of netizens when she shared photos of school materials donated by her former student, Aiden.
Now a Grade 3 student, Aidan donated school supplies after seeing Pascual’s post on Facebook. The teacher was asking for donations such as school supplies and old uniforms for her students at the Concepcion Elementary School in Malabon.
Pascual told INQUIRER.net on Tuesday that she was delighted by Aiden’s donation. It was the first time in her 16 years of teaching that she had seen a student make such a gesture.
“It’s a nice feeling for a teacher to know that I have planted something good in my student,” Pascual said in Filipino in a Facebook chat.
Most students are usually good, she said, but what Aiden did was rare as people in their community lead simple lives.

“As a teacher, I had a chance to become a part of a child’s life. I’m happy that children apply in life what they have learned in school,” Pascual said.
