2 armed drug suspects busted in Batangas, Cavite
LUCENA CITY—Police on Wednesday arrested two armed drug suspects in Batangas and Cavite provinces.
The Calabarzon police reported on Thursday, August 11, that anti-narcotics agents collared at 11:50 p.m. Jim Zymon De Castro after he sold marijuana to an undercover police in Barangay Bucana Malaki in Naic, Cavite.
During the transaction, the suspect noticed that he was dealing with a policeman and tried to draw his caliber 38. gun, but the cop grabbed the suspect’s arm.
Aside from the undocumented firearm with three bullets, De Castro also yielded six sachets of marijuana.
Batangas
In Lipa City, a policeman nabbed Marvin Malayba in a buy-bust operation at 1:10 p.m. in Barangay Antipolo Del Norte.
Article continues after this advertisementMalayba was found in possession of two sachets of shabu (crystal meth) with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of about P10,200.
Article continues after this advertisementAlso confiscated from Malayba was an illegal caliber .45 pistol with four bullets.
The authorities also confiscated the car believed to be used by Malayba in his illegal drugs trade.
The suspects are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and another case of illegal possession of a firearm.
