Septuagenarian found dead inside home in Iloilo town

SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique — The body of a 72-year-old man was found in an advanced state of decomposition inside his home in Barangay Liberty, Lapuz, Iloilo on Monday afternoon, August 1.

According to the man’s nephew, he discovered the body when he visited his home to tell him that his child would send him money for his medicine.

The man reportedly suffered from liver cirrhosis and had a mild stroke back in April.

One of the residents of the barangay complained that the corpse had not yet been removed even though it produces a foul odor.

The man’s family explained that they did not leave the body to rot and were waiting for funeral services to get him.
