P3.4M meth seized in Camarines Sur

Policemen arrested a suspected member of the extremist Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) who is wanted for several crimes in Zamboanga City.LEGAZPI CITY—Police arrested two drug suspects and confiscated more than P3.4 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a search operation Friday, July 1, in Goa town in Camarines Sur province.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said Naneth Obias, 33, and her live-in partner, Anthony Ariola, 23, were arrested at 6:15 a.m. in Barangay Matacla.

Police recovered two plastic bags with 510 grams of shabu worth P3,468,000.

Calubaquib said Obias was a big-time drug suspect and on the illegal drugs watch list in the region.
