Man found dead on Pagudpud shore

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte—Authorities found Monday the body of an unidentified man along the shoreline of Pancian village in Pagudpud town, Ilocos Norte province.

Investigators said they received a phone call from a concerned citizen who informed them that a body was found on the shore near a construction site in Sitio (sub-village) Banquero.

Initial investigation showed that the dead man was wearing a blue shirt and jacket and gray jogging pants. Authorities said he had no identification card with him.

Police said they were still determining the cause of the man’s death, noting that he had suffered a head injury.
