Angeles City logs 9 new COVID-19 cases in 3 days

ANGELES CITY—This highly urbanized city has registered nine new COVID-19 cases in the last three days, data from the city government showed on Wednesday, June 15.

From zero active cases on June 11 and 12, this city on June 13 recorded five new ones, two new patients on June 14 and another two on June 15.

Seven of the 33 villages in this city have active COVID-19 cases.

These are Cutcut (2), Amsic (1), Cuayan (1), Cutud (1), Lourdes Sur (1), Lourdes Sur East (1), and Pampang (1).

Since the pandemic started in 2020, this city had recorded 14,712 COVID-19 cases, of which 14,161 had recovered, while 542 had died.

The city government announced Tuesday that it would close on June 20 its vaccination site at the City Colleges of Angeles, which would be used for face-to-face classes in the next school year.

All COVID-19 vaccination activities would be done at the six rural health units in Santo Domingo, Lourdes Northwest, Lourdes Sur East, Balibago, Pandan, and Pulung Cacutud villages, it said.

The city government has advised residents who need vaccinations and booster shots to go to the rural health unit nearest their residence.
