KNF Designs, SRFC bag football crowns

KNF DESIGNS and the San Roque Football Club (SRFC) grabbed the men’s and women’s open titles, respectively, of the 3rd University of San Carlos (USC) Inter-Barkada Tournament at the USC-TC football field last Sunday.

KNF Designs routed Camella FC, 3-0, to run off with the men’s open title of this tournament, which is open to teams outside USC for the first time this year.

KNF Designs advanced to the finals after edging USC, 1-0, in the semifinal round while Camella FC arranged a titular battle after squeaking past Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), 2-1, in a penalty shootout.

SRFC, on the other hand, secured the women’s title via a 2-1 shootout win against St. Theresa’s College (STC) A.

SRFC entered the final round after prevailing in a shootout against USC, 2-0, while STC A nipped  sister school STC B, 2-1, also via a shootout. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
