Loren Legarda thanks Iglesia ni Cristo for Senate bid endorsement

MANILA, Philippines —Three-term senator and senatorial candidate Loren Legarda thanked the influential Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) led by Executive Minister Ka Eduardo Manalo for endorsing her senatorial candidacy.
“Ako po ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa tiwala at suportang ibinigay sa akin ng Kapatiran ng Iglesia ni Cristo sa pangunguna ni Ka Eduardo Manalo,” Legarda said in a recent social media post.
“Ang inyong pag-endorso ay aking lubos na pinapahalagahan, at makakaasa po kayo sa de-kalidad na serbisyong aking patuloy na ibibigay sa sambayanang Pilipino. Maraming, maraming salamat po,” Legarda added.
The INC is known for its “bloc voting” practice, where the Church expects its members to vote for its endorsed candidates. They are expected to distribute sample ballots containing the names of their chosen candidates to its members this week.
