Duterte congratulates PSG members who passed Bar exams
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has personally congratulated members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) who passed the 2020/2021 bar examinations.
PSG spokesperson Major Zeerah Blanche Lucrecia, on Monday said the bar passers met with Duterte for a photo opportunity at the Malago Clubhouse in Malacañang Park last April 21.
“The gesture was gladly received by the new bar passers,” Lucrecia said in a statement.
The PSG members who hurdled the Bar examinations were Captain Joan Napay, currently assigned at the PSG Station Hospital, Lt. April Bayabao from the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics and PSSg. Byron Angelo Bacud from the Presidential Police Security Force Unit.

Article continues after this advertisementNapay said the President shared with them his personal experiences as a lawyer and as prosecutor when he was still in practice.
Duterte recommended reading more books on trial techniques and encouraged the new lawyers to engage in practice whether in the Armed Forces of the Philippines or in the private sector.
Napay said she will serve the AFP.
A total of 8,241 examinees out of 11,402 takers passed the 2020/2021 Bar Examinations for a 72.28% passing rate, according to the Supreme Court.
