LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — No new COVID-19 cases were logged in Ilocos Norte on Tuesday, the provincial government announced.

The province’s active cases dropped to 42 after registering 89 new recoveries on the same day.

Of the 42 active cases, four exhibited mild symptoms and were admitted to hospitals.

Despite the continuing decline in the number of new infections, the local government urged residents to adhere to standard health protocols.

Since the pandemic struck in 2020, Ilocos Norte reported 24,844 total COVID-19 cases, of which 501 died and 24,301 recovered. INQ
