Woman wanted for illegal recruitment falls in Nueva Ecija

CUYAPO, Nueva Ecija — Police on Monday, February 21, arrested a woman who was tagged as one of the most wanted persons in this town.

Lt. Col. Erwin Ferry, the town’s chief of police, identified the suspect as Maribel Ducay, 45, a vendor from Barangay Nagmisahan.

Ferry said Ducay, who is the top 8 most wanted person here, had been charged with illegal recruitment or violation of Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995 (Republic Act 10022).

The suspect was arrested in an operation conducted by joint operatives from the local police’s intelligence and warrant sections.

Police said the court has set a bail of P120,000 for Ducay’s temporary liberty.
