Mindanao to be cloudy with rains, fair elsewhere – Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The entire Mindanao can expect cloudy skies on Sunday with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to a trough of a low-pressure area outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, according to the latest Saturday bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Administration (Pagasa).
The LPA together with the easterlies, or the warm winds, coming from the Pacific Ocean may cause flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.
On the other hand, the entire Luzon and Visayas can expect fair weather.
Metro Manila, Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan.
Easterlies are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms to the entire Visayas and the rest of Luzon.
