Unvaxxed woman in Olongapo dies of COVID-19
OLONGAPO CITY–A 76-year-old woman became the latest COVID-19 fatality in this city amid its growing number of infections, local data showed on Monday, Jan. 17.
The elderly resident, who was unvaccinated, died on Jan. 16, although the COVID-19 test result came out five days later.
Her death raised the city’s total fatalities related to the viral disease to 320, data from the local COVID-19 task force show.
The city also logged 55 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, which brought to 657 its active infections.
On the same day, the city reported 31 new recoveries and 13 suspected cases.
