Active COVID-19 cases among Central Luzon cops hit 300 mark

OLONGAPO CITY – The active COVID-19 cases among the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon have breached the 300 mark, local data showed on Thursday, Jan. 13.
The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) health service said at least 22 new infections were added to its tally, bringing its active cases to 301.
It was the highest number of active infections among police personnel in the region since the pandemic struck in 2020.
At least three more virus-infected policemen have recovered from the disease, bringing to 2,882 PRO3’s recoveries.
Since 2020, PRO3 registered 3,190 COVID-19 cases. Its death toll stood at seven, with no new fatalities in recent weeks.
The rising COVID-19 cases among the PRO3 workforce was noted despite its close to 100 percent personnel fully vaccinated against the viral disease.
