4-year-old boy among seven new COVID-19 cases in Tarlac

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—A 4-year-old boy from Gerona town is among the seven new COVID-19 in Tarlac, data from the provincial government showed on Monday (Dec. 27).

In its latest update, the Tarlac COVID-19 Task Force said the child manifested mild symptoms and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the disease. He is currently confined in a hospital.

Data showed that the other new COVID-19 cases are residents of Tarlac City (3), Bamban (1), Capas (1), and La Paz (1) with ages between 23 and 59.

The province also registered two new recoveries and zero deaths on Tuesday. Its active cases stood at 61.

Gerona has the most active cases at 11, followed by Tarlac City (9), and Concepcion (8).

Since the pandemic started last year, Tarlac has recorded 19,034 COVID-19 cases, of which 18,135 had recovered, while 838 had died.
