Salon thief caught on video

POLICE arrested two men for robbery and possession of  illegal drugs in barangay Cubacub, Mandaue City, yesterday morning.

Hairdresser Jenifer Plaza of  AJ Salon in barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City, and his 26-year-old boyfriend Bromeo Pugoy were detained at the police station  in Basak, Mandaue City.

Salon owner Joselito Sajona reported to police that Plaza  destroyed the cash drawer and took P7,000 before he closed the salon  Sunday night.

Sajona discovered the  theft  and  reviewed video tapes of the security camera installed in the building.

He identified  Plaza.

Police arrested Plaza, 30,  in his house in barangay Cubacub with Pugoy, a construction worker.

Insp. Wilson Abot and his team recovered from Plaza P2,380 cash believed to be part of the P7,000 taken from the salon.

Two small packets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia were seized from Pugoy. /CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
