Robredo vows no withdrawal from 2022 race once she files her candidacy
MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo on Sunday said she opposed Senator Panfilo Lacson’s “sure unification formula” because she believes that she has to fight until the end once she decides to run for president.

Robredo, in her weekly radio program, said under Lacson’s ‘sure unification formula’ opposition candidates will have to withdraw from the race at a certain point once the strongest candidate emerges. This will be determined by survey ratings.
“So ayaw ko iyon.
(My opposition is because of my personal beliefs. I don’t like to lead our supporters on. Those who trusted me because they think I will fight to the end, only to withdraw in the middle of the race because my numbers are low. I don’t like that. What I want is, once I file, I will stay until the end.)
(Once I filed, I could not withdraw anymore how hard it may be because I already presented myself to the public.)
