Active COVID-19 cases in Olongapo City drop to 165

OLONGAPO CITY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in this city further scaled down as it registered more recoveries than new cases on Tuesday (July 27), local health data showed.

Seven more patients were cleared of the disease on that day while only three new infections were added to the city’s COVID-19 data, bringing down the number of active cases to 165.

It was one of the lowest numbers of active infections in the city that was recorded by the local task force this month.

The city’s total number of recoveries jumped to 2,550, bringing to 88 percent its recovery rate from 87 percent the previous week.

To date, the city has recorded 2, 878 infections and 163 deaths since last year, including the single fatality on Tuesday.
