2 Pampanga cities log 2 COVID-19 deaths, 41 new cases
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—This city and the capital city of San Fernando recorded 41 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths Sunday, July 18.
In its latest bulletin, the city government here said another resident of Barangay Mawaque succumbed to the viral disease, bringing its death toll to 118.
This city recorded 19 new cases on Sunday for a total of 169 active cases out of the total 4,036 since the pandemic began last year.
Of the total cases, 3,749 have recovered, including the 24 who healed that day.
Barangay Dau, this city’s biggest village, has the most active cases at 43, followed by Barangay Mabiga at 21, and Barangay Dapdap at 19.
Meanwhile, the City of San Fernando disclosed that its latest COVID-19 fatality was a resident of Barangay San Pedro.
Article continues after this advertisementThe capital city had 5,778 cases since the start of the pandemic last year. Of these, 5,257 had recovered while 192 had died.
It also registered 22 new cases and five recoveries on Sunday.
