Olongapo City logs 18 more COVID-19 cases, 9 recoveries

OLONGAPO CITY–At least 18 new COVID-19 cases were added to the growing number of infections here, an official said on Wednesday, June 30.

Citing local health data, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the new cases are aged 22 to 90.

So far, the city has logged 2,553 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Its active cases rose to 210.

But Paulino said nine more patients had been cleared of the viral disease on the same day, raising to 2,203 its number of recoveries.

He said no deaths were registered on Wednesday. It was the first time in almost two weeks that the city did not log any fatalities.

Its death toll related to COVID-19 remained at 210.
